Satya Sai Passes Away

“Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is no more with us physically. He left his earthly body on April 24, 2011 at 7:40 a.m. due to cardio-respiratory failure,” Director of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences A.N. Safaya said in a bulletin.
A visibly shaken, A. P. Minister for Industries, J. Geetha Reddy, a staunch devotee of Sai Baba, told reporters in Puttaparthi that his body, after being kept in the Sai Kulwant Hall on Monday and Tuesday, will be buried there on Wednesday morning.
Many devotees felt its more the end of an avatar, than anything else. 

The Andhra Pradesh Government has a declared four-day State mourning, including Sunday, in view of the death of spiritual leader Sathya Sai Baba at Puttaparthi. 

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who air dashed to Puttaparthi along with Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Sunday morning, also declared a holiday in Anantapur district on Wednesday, the day on which the last rites of Sai Baba would be performed.

Recalling the services rendered by Sai Baba, the Chief Minister said State honours would be given to the departed soul at his funeral.
Chief Minister went on to add that the “Trust” would function as it did till today, even without the physical presence of  Swamy, as he felt, just like many Baba devotees, that Bhagwan Satya Sai Saibaba is still with us.
